[Oh, this is sweet. Surely, she's very capable, but it always means so much to her to have people share. Even if they don't believe, it still feels like an offering.

She stands some feet away from him, front legs closer together than the hind, and head level with her shoulders which are rising and falling slightly in that canine, panting way. After a moment of considering him, she takes steps to meet him, her tail swinging behind her delightfully. Usually, she snatches meat up, tears at it, eats like an animal unsurprisingly, but there are fingers attached to this extended morsel, and so she reaches for it with care. Her gold eyes are on him rather than the delectable treat she's soon sinking her teeth into to take.]

[something about her is different, he can feel it, even if he can't quite put his finger on it. when she takes the food, he isn't sure what to do next. he's bad enough at conversation as it is, but with a dog? he's probably worse than a mute.

instead of speaking once more, he decides to hold the entire plate out to her, a funny little offering of peace.]

[Whoa! The whole thing. Up her tail goes, waving in the air now to display her appreciation. She groans in such a way that it turns into an excitable whine. After this, she chows down with abandon, huffing between mouthfuls. The meal has vanished in the matter of a minute or two, and he's left with a wolf licking the plate clean before checking the floor for flyaway pieces.

Grinning in that doggish, panting fashion, she wags her tail when she lifts her head to look at him again, and then she's stepping around him to bump her side against his. Hello, hello, hello. Thank you for the meal, young man.]

Jeepers.

[he nearly falls over when she bumps against him, not expecting the contact. he ruffles the fur of her back a bit, in a you're welcome sort of gesture. amaterasu is the most human animal he's come across.]

[Oops... Well, she's been often called careless and hard-headed, and she supposes she can at times be forgetful of her own strength. Sorry, new friend! Ears folding, she does her best to convey this by nudging her muzzle up under his fingers after her ruffles her fur. Which... probably.... makes it seem more as if she's only demanding more attention. Not entirely untrue, even if she's mostly being apologetic.

At his question, she groans and those furry ears flatten side ways, almost comically.]

[he lets out a sorry excuse for a laugh, an unfamiliar sound escaping his throat. he's not used to animals being friendly.]
