He gave no such return of courtesy, for her scarcely gave that even to the monarchs themselves. Indeed there was very little kindness in his greeting with her, because it was no secret that Ganondorf had no great love of the brothels and gambling houses in Mair. But nor had he caused any harm, aside from an increase of working soldiers who now were eager to put their consistent pay to good use. She might have been helping to fill his pockets, but he'd been doing the same in turn.

"And which of the two bring you here tonight?"

"Business," she answered, hands linking before her, giving her a statuesque appearance while she looked from Dragmire to the Unseelie crowd. "But I could hardly pass up the opportunity to see the seat of Unseelie power for myself."

"It is not without its own charm," he answered dryly as though he felt no great interest in the place. "But it swiftly becomes a tiring place."

But so did any place where Ganondorf did not rule. If he was not in a place of absolute authority, then he was hardly in his proper place. So it was business that likewise brought him to this place, for he never found pleasure here.

"Does it?" She seemed genuinely surprised, vaguely disappointed, green eyes flitting back to Ganondorf. But then, Mair had always had a reputation within the drabwurld for being lively...

... but its Lord hardly seemed the sort've man to take advantage of such a reputation.

"I'm surprised you find it anything less than a retreat, after the relative wildness of Mair."

"No doubt you find me ill suited for the pleasures and adventures in Mair." It was not an uncommon thought to be found among those in Mair. There were plenty who feared him and his retribution, but that fear had subsided when he proved a more evenhanded ruler than the old lords of Mair that would often massacre those they didn't like, until they were in turn were massacred themselves.

"But I come from a wild people, so I need no retreat."
