Caroline can lie, cheat, and contemplate (and maybe even commit) murder without getting the slightest bit flustered. The same thing can't be said when her personal space is compromised, even less so when she finds herself not minding as much. She drinks now, too, maybe only to cover up that hint of color that had risen to her cheeks.

"One way or another." It's a short answer. It used to be her favorite topic, just back this morning when she was convinced that, though she might die, she was at least going to save humanity. How quickly things change.

Same thing can be said about London.
