time to invent a meter to measure the stink of different dragon breaths, it seems

[ It isn't a dialect Draco is familiar with, but Toothless is able to get the gist of it across. He frowns at them for a short moment after, not answering Hiccup, nor Toothless, immediately. He raises up to sit high up on his hind legs, which puts his height up over where the two hover, and he carefully unfurls his own wings, stretching them out to what is a fairly impressive length. He looks grim, deciding whether to trust what the other dragon claims or not.

When he does speak again, it's in his own kind of language, though his is more rolling growls and long S sounds. He speaks slowly, for it has been quite some time since he has spoken only in dragon to another dragon, and as it's only two words, hopefully easy enough to comprehend.

He simply tells Toothless that he understands.

Then, to Hiccup, his shifts his attention as well as his language.

No. If he would call you brother, then who am I to separate you, even if only for a moment? [ Still a very strange setup, but it was not at all long ago that he called a human of his own a dear friend. All that said, he draws his wings back in, folding them neatly and settling down on all four legs again. ] My name is not one that would be easy on your tongue, though the last man to have walked by my side was content to call me Draco, if that suits you.
