[ It is no small thing that Gilgamesh asks. Not because it is difficult or Aslan does not know (he does, in fact), but to invite such judgment is something very few would do. The truth is not always pleasant, and Aslan is not sparing in his judgements when he gives them.

Gilgamesh asks, and so Aslan responds. Whether the answer is to his liking or not, it is what he sees, and the lion meets Gilgamesh's gaze, his eys unwavering. ]
