[The invitation to sit down is readily and gladly accepted, but it's the prospect of imparting knowledge that truly appeals to Simonelli's better half. He is, after all, a university man and there's nothing he loves quite as much as showing the fruits of his hard won learning. If uninterrupted he will talk and talk and talk.]
Daoine Sidhe is an ancient name for the fairy race. It is a Celtic term and their own language is said to be a relation to the Gaelic tongues. They, or at least those who made up the King's host, are said to be tall, glitteringly pale, and almost unbearably fair to Christian eyes. [A good enough descriptor of the man sitting next to him.] They are also known to be vain, cruel, capricious, and deceitful, as well as highly magically skilled.
This land seems to be some hitherto unknown part of their homeland of Faerie and many of the non-mortal inhabitants appear to be of that race. Or so my studies have led me to believe, though there is much I do not know though my own dealings with them have perhaps been more significant than those of any Englishman in centuries.
