Oh, we do need a pretend mother though. Wendy plays it so seriously that it isn't fun, sometimes.

[ (Wendy gets so strange about it when he tells her he is bored of being Father to her Mother and Peter has no idea why. He doesn't like it when Wendy is angry.) He strolls behind her, a hand lightly touching her arm as he leans in. ]

If you come away with me then your sister could take care of your brothers, Susan. I'll show you such magical creatures, they all know me. I will take all the children here who don't want to be told what to do and give them somewhere safe to live and play. You would be the lady of the house. I would never let anyone say a word against you.
