[ her eyes get a little wider, somehow, and then she's looking straight forward and clasping her hands in her lap, like that's how one is meant to "ACT NATURAL" when things were getting overwhelming. but he just froze the cake over entirely, which meant- he was like her? well, very obviously not like her, considering he just threw the cake away, but. oh, she needs to calm down. she feels panicked and excited and pleased and so scared all at once and she's not sure she can handle feeling things like this all at once just yet. even now that she's accepted her gift, learned to love it really, she's still so nervous about hurting people with her inability to control what she can do.

so she pulls in a slow breath and shuts her eyes, which probably makes her seem crazy, but it's better than freezing over the whole room and completely ruining her chances of ever being seen as more than a danger to those around her. so.

No. You didn't.

[ still in that same it's alright tone she had before, now a little softer, making it obvious she's trying reallyveryhard not to get too excited, negatively or positively, just yet. not here, not with all these people around them. so instead she looks down at her lap, letting her hands part just so she can curl her fingers closed, then open again, forming a little orb of snow between them, before clasping them together again, making it vanish in a small totally magical looking wisp. and now she'll finally peek up at him again, suddenly the shyest young woman in the world. but at least she's smiling a bit. I can do that, too. ]

Perhaps we should go somewhere we can talk.

[ trying so hard to sound collected here, but she's failing, she knows it. she's too pleased, too nervous. ]
