[ It’s closer to three hours than one, and only even that near to schedule because Felix’s horse has been to the Station before. She knows the way quite well, and past legions of shardholders have taught her not to pay much mind to the person on her back, or where he thinks he’s going. When he finally arrives, it’s looking harried and drab. Felix has always been one for appearances, but after a week on the road and more than one instance of abruptly sneezing himself into a cat, there’s only so much to work with. His hair’s an unruly mane, and there may or may not be a small twig poking out of the back of his boots. It doesn’t stop him from walking like he’s out to burn down the building.
It takes a moment before he spots Mildmay — and when he does, some of that angry glint in his step vanishes, face pulling slack. He doesn’t look disappointed or upset, just…quite at a loss. Perhaps one might as well be the other. ]
