[ There's a dragon on the roof. Uh.

Lien's tail dangles over the side of the wall, twitching aimlessly in the breeze. Varda isn't the only one to have sought solitude so close to the sky, and it's half a moment before Lien rouses herself to take notice.

One enormous white neck stretches down and around, to put the starry woman in better view of her milky red eyes, the size of a man's grown hand. It's improprietous to intervene -- but Lien, too, knows grief, and their proximity demands address. Her voice is delicate, and smooth for all its deep sonority:

It is too beautiful a night to mar one's view with sorrow. [ She peers, squinting to make out the shape of her. ] The stars reflect what we would see in them.
