[ He's found a strange sort of friendship (and not the twisted mockery of the thing he shared with Daud, with Corvo, with his other Marked back in Dunwall) with other young ladies of the Drabwurld. Emily is of his world, though, is far more innocent than the others. It's enough to make something like a smile crease his face, and he turns his hand over to gently grasp hers. ]

You have been through much, Lady Emily. [ And yet she still believes that they can ask, that they can help fix it, and that it will be that simple. It's- almost endearing. ] The illness in this world is stronger, deeper, and older than that in Dunwall. It will take much, perhaps more than our requests. But- [ and his voice pitches lower, a whisper that's like a soft sea breeze, meant to linger ] there are others who do not want to fight, who would help this place and seek to return home. [ And some, like him, will continue to also help their respective courts -- them out of fear, out of odd loyalty, and him because it plants the seeds of chaos and he wants to see what happens. ]
