I did. [Her smile remains yet Elizabeth's eyes seem to become a little sad.] I am just looking to see if any of my loved ones got taken along with me. [She presses her hands together, thinking about the situation again before another response.]

Then again, it would be best if they are not here. [Elizabeth just wouldn't know what to do if she is forced to fight against a loved one if they are taken by the other court. It then hit her that she's at a lavish party and she shouldn't be on sad emotions so she just shakes her head and pulls back up a brighter smile.]

Ah! Do forgive me, I do not mean to take a party into a depressing turn for you with my struggles! It's a beautiful party despite the situation, yes?

[ oh boy, korra knows that feeling, and truth be told she's pretty "okay" with not really getting along with anyone else in the other court. it makes it easier to villainize them, and thus easier to fight against them.
