I assume people leave sometime, but it certainly isn't within our power to do so. You'd have to ask the Hutt-alikes in charge. [ Yeah, he's pretty confident that Morla ranks somewhere pretty high on the scale of "Hutt". ]

The problem with tech is simple. Even assuming you could jury-rig a comm that could jump galaxies with the available supplies in this Station, [ which, from his tone, it is clear that han doubts ] whatever wonked up gravity or electromagnetic or disturbance/perturbation field that condemns the rest of the planet to backwater hell would interfere with the signal the moment it left the 'safety bubble' of this area. It's a closed systems, essentially. And our best bet for getting off is the same we we got on. Can't say I'm all to happy about it, but that's how it goes.

[ There is beating the odds and fighting the insurmountable, and recent escapades aside, Han isn't a great fan of the latter. ]

You'd be the first, though a few people apparently seem to have heard of it. Not that they'd have any idea how to get there, we are aeons ahead of their tech, for the most part.

[ One day, someone should tell Amidala that her husband goes crazy evil and tortures one of her/their kids and then tries to kill the other a couple times. (And then apparently saves that kid's life and helps restore peace to the Galaxy, but even Han doesn't know that part yet). That day will not be any day Han is present, unless he gets dragged there. ]

[Him saying it isn't going to have Padmé believing it, although she will consider his words. It may well be a secret that is kept closely to the breast, lest any find out about it. She doesn't doubt that if given a choice, some might well choose this realm. Her issue is that she wasn't given the luxury of the choice. Oh, she knows well enough that sometimes things don't go as planned, and she isn't one to stomp her feet and cry foul. Still, there are better ways of going about getting what one wants, at least by her reckoning.]

Well, if they are anything like the Hutts, asking isn't something they are keen on. [No, she knew well enough that answers came at a price, and the question is, what price would those in charge demand- as she has no doubt it would be a demand- in order to inquire? More like than not, little would be gained and much would be lost.

She pursed her lips slightly.]
I see. [Or as much as she could.]

And heard of it? Of what? The Galactic Senate or the Core planets?
