It's kinda complicated to explain. Like... really complicated? [ even based on that conversation with shijima-baachan, it's super complicated. and it's not like he really Gets why the dark hour and shadows happen, just that they do. ]

There are these things called Shadows that eat people's will to live, where I'm from. Only most people don't know about them and can't see them... so we exterminate them!
