[ Idly, she pulls the knife from her pocket, shows it to him again, and then twirls it slowly, mimicking slitting a throat of an imaginary person next to her. ]

[ He's hurting. It blares in him, like 'Nam does in her father, and ultimately, in spite of all her hunter's instincts, she never could handle seeing another person in pain. ]

[No. He's not happy.

But her explanation is satisfactory enough, so he nods. He doesn't know if it's true, because he's not inclined to trust someone who walked up to him for no reason and just started talking, but he'll accept it for now.

He's not sure he wants the company right now, though.]
