No. He wanted nothing to do with it.

"You may have no choice. They will promise you anything you desire, and when that fails, they will turn to other means. And I have spoken to Death here - he wears the form of a Black Dog - there is no way to return without winning the war, one way... or another."
A breath. "I need to get you home. You ought not be here."
I would do anything to get you home safely
b'awww Maglor
"Maybe not. If I am given no choice," as in if he was given the choice between killing his own kin and killing others on the opposite side, "I will do what I must. They will not own me."
If it meant leaving and never seeing Maglor again...his heart was torn between what he wanted and what he was needed for. "Does time pass back home while we are here?"
he loves you lots okay
He does not move out of Elros' hold, happy to draw comfort this way.
"My bold one. I do not think any could tame you."
Elros and Elrond have the best dads okay
"If it turns out false, it will be dealt with then. There seems to be little else we can do."
Finally though, he dropped his hands back to his sides, assured that Maglor wouldn't leave him behind. The anger banked with a wry half smile. "Not without effort and great care." As Maglor and Maedhros learned first hand. How long had he fought them? Even after Elrond had accepted them, he had not.
Elladan disagrees, he reckons his is better
Soberly. "Alas this is true. But I would have spared you, if I could."
...Don't make me fight you nephew.
Also sobering, he reached out again and gently tugged on a lock of Maglor's hair - exactly as his bratty childhood self had so very often. "I know. Just as I would spare you this." And so much more.
But Uncle, don't you think your twin would make a good dad? =D
"I have suffered nothing I did not call on myself, Elros. There is no need to worry over me, although I thank you for it."
Yes, but there's only one of him~
"You keep no worry nor care for yourself, so it is left to others to do so for you." He knew his father, okay.
Oooh, well then. Elros can have the bests DadS, so long as Dan has the best Dad
"I worry as much as is needful, but I am sure Maedhros will be glad to have another nursemaid to guard me." Gently teasing.
"Thank you, for forgiving me, Elros."
...That is acceptable.
"You may come to regret those words, ada!" Because Elros and Maedhros worrying over a single person? Oh yes. Be afraid, Maglor. Be very afraid.
The grin softened and sobered. "I was very angry with you...until a few minutes ago."
Dan thought you might like that Uncle!
"I would be surprised if you were not at least a little angry."
Maglor shrugs with a faint smile. "How long has it been for you, Elros?"
XD
He nudged the other at the shrug, half amused and half surprised at the gesture. Forgive him for wanting contact, father dearest.
The light in his eyes dimmed a little. "A few decades. My path led me away from Elrond." There. He'd managed to keep his voice level, for all the very words hurt to think, much less say.
...I now want them to meet somewhere. GUESS I MIGHT THROW DAN AT YOU ON THE FAMILY MEME LATER
"I cannot begin to imagine how hard it must have been for the two of you. Elrond when he was here... he was from far later. He was happy, Elros. He misses you, but he was happy. Are you?"
>D YES, GOOD.
Happy. Elrond was...happy. Had somehow managed to move past everything to reach that point. As the words sank in, his chest loosened and he could breath just a little easier.
"I...am not quite ready for that. Yet." But he could hope, now. Missing his other half was still too raw and painful. At least hew as mostly pass the bitter, foolish feel of betrayal.
SIIIIGH
"He would understand, I am sure. But do not take too long, yonya. You no longer have the luxury of an elven lifespan." Maglor cannot quite hide the pain that statement brings him, but it was Elros' choice.
"He would want you to be happy. As do I."
/CACKLE
But it wasn't that at all. He could hear the pain in his father's voice. Pain he put there. He didn't let his hands clench into fists, however much they wanted to.
"Perhaps it is not happiness I deserve, for what I have done." Spoken so quietly, hardly daring to breath the words loud enough for Maglor's ears.
no subject
A soft sigh. "I cannot deny I wish you had chosen otherwise, but I would not have seen you again in any case. Promise me, Elros. Promise me you will try to be happy. It is all I ever wanted for the two of you."
no subject
His lips twisted though, and he blew out a sharp breath as fingers fiddled with cloth at his sides. Better than clenching into fists that would do nothing. Elros didn't say a word for a moment, just looking at Maglor. Searching for answers, perhaps. Searching for nothing he knew in as many words.
"I...I will try, ada." It was the best he could do.
no subject
"That is all I can ask. But never think that either of us blame you for your choice. I cannot speak for what your brother thinks now, of course - but later, from the stories I hear, he understood, you know. He did not blame you. He watched your family for you, when you were gone. And as for me... your choices are yours to make. As long as you are happy with your choice, so too am I."
no subject
Told him his twin eventually understood. For that alone his lips quirked, irony heavy about him. "It has been years, yet still you know my mind. You always know what I need hearing."
no subject
Maglor shakes his head at Elros fondly. "They all said that your brother was the one who liked to overthink things, but you were just as bad, in your own way. Stop dwelling, Elros. You chose, and you chose as it seemed right to you. It is enough for me."
