His core being is someone who desperately wants approval and love, but he's been disappointed and betrayed too many times for that to happen easily. So he puts on the facade of the big bad vampire, caring about nothing and no one but himself and his own needs and pleasures.
Most of the time people believe it and it keeps him from having to be vulnerable and get hurt again, or be good and have people look at him like they're expecting the best from him when everyone else expects the worst.
That's all muddled up inside him and he keeps it carefully tucked away, shown only to a few, but... he's also unaware of her little gifts, so he's not making an effort to hide anything.
Her reply has him smiling and moving to step away a bit, giving her space and letting him get a better look at her as a whole. The coloring, the markings, the garb. It's an interesting result.]
So, do I get a name to put to that, or should I just pine over an anonymous kiss?
