Not because she was suddenly overwhelmed with desire, of course, but because it is the fastest way to get out of this annoying situation. There is perhaps also the slightest hope that it might throw the frustrating elven prince at least a little bit off balance. ]

It is also possible that she's fast enough to reach out and pull him against her for a kiss.
