Apparently tis a strange form of tradition, although those who know of it assure me that it is not usually so enforced.

[ He shakes his head a little ]

It is not - a kiss is all that is required however... some of the plants are a little, shall we say, determined, to get a particular type of kiss.

And what type of kiss does this one require?

Can you move? If you can, that was all that was required... if not... ah... I fear it will demand a rather more proper kiss.

I am glad to hear so. [ He takes a step back himself, well familiar by now some of the eccentricities of the magic and sighs in relief when he is permitted to do so ]

I would hope not. I plan to keep an eye out for any more of those... things. Is this a form of a jest for these fae? Am I to check every door I walk through for these little traps?

I do not know, in honesty. I was similarly trapped and had to be freed myself. I hope tis something only in a few places, and for a limited time.

I'll have to be more careful where I step. Though, I suppose I could avoid it entirely by just not being in the castle.

Unless the little ones decided to decorate the woods as well. [ Maglor points out dryly ]

Well, it would be safer than in here, at the least.

If they know what's good for them, they'll stay away from my nest.
