Personality: Faolan is a Gaelic assassin/spy/bodyguard. He is mostly surly and forbidding but he can also be witty and caring. He is a good guy under there!
Court: Unseelie
Current location: Kind of all over the map right now. Basically the short answer is "with Lancelot" haha. He will be at Caer Glaem until the 7th, and then from there they are going on an adventure to Cul Lairid Orc...
Open Posts: He will have a post open shortly to train Seelie in hand-to-hand combat and target practice with bow & arrow and also with knife-throwing for the war efforts (because Lancelot told him to hahaha).
Current or future plans: The above mentioned post! Also, things are about to shake up for Faolan in BIG WAYS although I want to be kind of secretive about that so I won't say too much more for now.
Catch-up: HE HAS DONE A LOT SO FAR. If you want to read through his thread-tracker (which I am in the process of updating right now), it's here. Otherwise, he's Unseelie that tried to steal the Simaril from the Seelie court, failed, waited for further orders since he was still set up as a spy there, didn't get any, decided he would be something of a double-crosser, swore himself to Sigrid, Sigrid disappeared, then he went on to swear himself to Lancelot. He saved Lancelot's dog, helped kill Reynard, and now he has himself a title - he is known as "The Seelie Marshall's Hound".
Desired CR: I would love complicated CR, based on the position he has in the Seelie court, based on the fact that he is an assassin/spy and yet he also used to be a bard and he has something of a bard's heart as well as an assassin's. He doesn't really do romance but he does flirting and joking around and I'd love to get to have him do that with others too!
Shipping: Yes and no? It would really have to make sense because he is complicated, but if it makes sense, ~anything is possible~
Things to avoid: I AM ENTIRELY OPEN.

so I know our two have only ever kind of passed looks because of being in the same room at the same time, but you had my attention at "complicated". I'd love to at one point have Grell confront him, if you're cool with that, about whether the Unseelie can actually trust him given his closeness to Seelie!Lancelot and how he could be passing along information. she's pretty heavily sideeying him especially with that new title, so it could kickstart something? up to you!

yessssss i would love for this to happen. saber actually just assigned several people with a quest to take his locket and magically "tag" him because she had the same concerns about him, so if she's close to saber she could find out through her, or really i would LOVE for his title to be more widely known (MUCH TO HIS CHAGRIN) and for her to find out that way. he does come back and forth between scima and glaem occasionally, especially for resources there, and tries to keep a low profile but. he's kind of the seelie marshall's right hand man, so it's beginning to be harder and harder for that low profile to exist.

PLUS she met him at that council thing for reynard, i just remembered, so she would know of his connection with lancelot that way also. i think that would be enough for them to be able to have some sort of conflict/confrontation from there? WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS? i would love to plan/plot things with youuuu

she's someone who's been keeping up with titles more and more, so something as hugely obvious as faolan's is a giant red flag. add that to the stuff at the reynard council, and when they can run into each other without too many people around she's going to be like "how about we have a little chat since we've worked together before..." and then try to subtly intimidate him into giving up the information she wants. fun for everyone!

would you want this to go down this month? if so i've been working on setting up a january catch all so i could definitely set aside a section for faolan on whatever day works.

I'M SO SORRY FOR THE WAIT IN RESPONSE HERE everything is happening so much and the last few days at work have been crazy, not to mention how cold it's been which means my typing rate is seriously down |'D BUT YES faolan it seems will possibly always be busy in one way or another. i think this month might be best because things are happening this month that might make this conversation less relevant, if they get out before it happens? they can still happen before the conversation!

i'm trying to keep it kind of on the down-low at first, at least until it happens, but basically the brucolac is attempting to offer lancelot as tribute to the pyrii and of course faolan came along bc he's a good bodyguard. he's so good in fact that he's going to be risking (and losing) his life saving him, and thus becoming shardless. tl;dr after all of that and after he gets back/later this month he should be open for an interaction like the one we were discussing? idk if we should work that into her catchall or maybe just wait a little later into the month i'm not quite sure what's happening to him exactly yet SO MUCH IS UP IN THE AIR /head in hands

well basically whenever it really works out for you i can manage the conversation -- she's going to wind up taking off halfway through the month for her own mission but she'll keep popping back to caer scima during the latter half of january for a few hours at a time, so if she caught him then she'd waste no time in dragging him aside. so really if you want to wait that's cool, have a slow backtag going on, i'm flexible! ~~also stay warm seriously~~

okay SO. now that more time has passed/things have happened, as of today faolan is dead. so he'll be back on the 26th and. probably not really okay at that point. but given a few days, he'll need to go and collect his stuff from caer scima bc it's probably like. just in the hallway outside his former room or something. but assuming that i can swing that, how does that sound for you, for a way to have them meet? we could wait a little longer if that would work better, lancelot will probably be attached to him like glue although he could probably sneak out while he's in a meeting or something so it wouldn't be impossible

that'd work for me just fine! i can easily concoct a reason why she'd be in the area and then swing up all "hey faolan, you got a minute"
