It's a little difficult to explain where the Barrel is without showing you on a map. This a very vast place. However, I will be glad to show you where it is. You can either travel there via a fairy ring and horse or if that kind of magical travel bothers you, there are paths that can be taken via horse. Going the whole route that way will take longer, but...fairy rings... [Considering where Jamie is from, Diarmuid knows that the words 'fairy rings' will likely create the same unease in the man as they do in himself. Fortunately, because of his speed, Diarmuid has been able to pretty much avoid using them.]
