[ A fine archer can appreciate another fine archer's skill. So when Legolas comes upon this scene, quiet like a ghost nearly, he watches for a while rather than make his presence known immediately. It has been quite a while since he had last seen and spoken to Bard, a good couple hundred of years or more, but the memory of the Man is still clear in his mind and recognising him takes no effort at all. He smiles somewhat sadly, knowing Sigrid to be gone when her father has been brought to Drabwurld, but they have had all of them good lives and the life of a princess is certainly better suited to her, even if the road to it is paved with some suffering.

In the end, though, they do have peace.

Perhaps five or so smooth shoots later, Legolas finally steps further into the light, clapping his hands in approval. ]

Well done! Your skill is as sharp as it ever was.

[ Elves are quieter than other races in Middle Earth, so Bard's concentration on releasing tension through murderating the hell out of poor targets holds steady until right before Legolas starts clapping - a sixth sense that engages when there's movement around him. It's not nearly as sharp as the firstborn, but it has kept him alive in dangerous situations for years.

It's that sense that allows him to lower his weapon and turn around at an even pace, instead of whirling around and loosing an arrow like his instincts might have otherwise told him to do. ]

... Lord Legolas.

[ Surprise is written all over his face. This world has stolen the Elvenking's son? Perhaps the situation is even graver than he fears. ]
