SCREAMS why did you tell me this thing
I apologize. I was...being overly cautious.
[ And foolish. She takes her staff from the ground and brings it back to the sling on her back, fastening it tightly. ]
I am. My name is Nasrin Lavellan. I am new to these parts and to the Seelie Court. I'm afraid I did not recognize your face...though I should have assumed, as we are in Seelie lands.
because solas pain is constant and must be shared!!
It's nice to meet you, Nasrin. Even with the - um, magic.
[ She holds up her wand and makes a show of shoving it up her sleeve, relaxing. ]
Welcome to the Drabworld, at least. Did you need help with anything? I was just here gathering potion supplies, so I'm not too busy.
sad whale noises into the abyss
[ It is so strange to be alone. Once, she'd had her clan; then, she'd had her companions, the soldiers and the scouts. They say a lone elf is a dead elf, constantly in danger from Templars, from Chantry fanatics, and from the test of the wilds themselves. She is not afraid for her safety against the latter, but this world is unknown to her, and she does not know friend from foe. Not yet.
But Hermione seems kind enough not to hold a grudge, which she is thankful for. Her gaze brightens up at the mention of potions. ]
I, too, am looking for supplies. [ And artifacts, anything to help her, but that she will keep to herself. ] I was hoping to find whatever is necessary here to help make potions, poultices...anything that I can use outside of the castle or for those who may need it. Have you been successful in gathering?
cool fade dad laughing
[ Which is an odd conversation to start a friendship with, but Hermione's had stranger (trolls and the like). She walks forward without much more hesitation, her smile brightening as the conversation turns to something a little more familiar - it seems like half of her life here in the Drabworld is spent making potions and salves for her friends, so having someone she can actually talk to about it is something incredible. ]
I have! There has to be a little substitution, of course, and I've spend a bit of time in the library at Caer Glaem to try and make sure I find the right herbs and plants from this world to make potions from my own, but generally a lot of things are the same. I'm lucky that a lot of the ingredients I need are usually just flowers that other people would overlook.
[ She grins. ]
I spend a lot of time potion making.
creators, solas, you're embarrassing
I should have realized-- Yes, I had a small list, myself, but I should have brought drawings of the herbs or better descriptors. I wasn't able to pull enough information from the library before I set off.
[ Being caught in the court, in such a foreign place, has left her ill at ease. She has her freedom now, longed for it in Thedas, and she will take every advantage of it she can. ]
I do as well. Can you show me where some of the plants are? I think I've been wandering in the wrong circles for what I want.
well that's just rude now isn't it
Oh, I never remember to bring any drawings. I'm just lucky I can bring all my books with me.
[ She touches the small bag on her shoulder which, really, doesn't look big enough to hold a single book, let alone multiples. ]
Of course, the ones I was gathering are just over here. Did you want any help carrying anything?
at least your girlfriend and not!son like you
[ Excuse her if she doesn't give the bag a very skeptical once-over. Even Dorian sometimes carries a book at his belt; before she favored the protective armor of a Keeper, even she had one beside her often enough. ]
No, that's all right. I brought a friend with me.
[ She gestures to the colt nearby, white with brown spots. He has her things strapped to his back, all save for a small side bag she keeps with her. ]
Perhaps I can help you with carrying anything you may need. It's the least I can do after tossing a spell at you.
