[It's not his child, but where he's sitting, a small hand starts to grope the tabletop. The trouble is, she's not tall enough to SEE the tabletop, so she's just reaching on a moogle-wing and a prayer. Excuse her. She's just going to relieve the table of that delicious looking meatbun right there.

Don't mind her at all.

Oh, did she stick her fingers in your potatoes? Not to worry, they're still good!]

[ No, it's not Bard's child, but it's a child, and from where he's sitting that's really all that matters. It takes a couple of minutes for him to notice what she's doing, of course, because the hall is crowded and there are a lot of distractions.

When he does figure it out, the father of three children fills a small plate with the kind of food that she's been filching from him, and lowers it down to her eye level. ]

Here. I think you might be easier settled with your own food.

[moogling]

[A peculiar looking child with blue hair and a horn growing out of her head, but yes, still a child, it would seem!]

Oh! [Ahem.] Thanks.

[She scuffs her toe to the ground and accepts the plate. That was quite nice of him.]

I wasn't sure if I could have any.

[And she used to filch food for a living. It's been a rough six years on the planet!]

[ This place is full of peculiar things, an odd-looking child seems par for the course. ]

[ He watches her for a moment, selecting a spare napkin (or what he thinks is a piece of cloth meant to wipe hands and mouth), and handing that down as well. ]

[She will let him know. And she will need another plate.

Eiko sits down right on the floor and puts the plate on her lap, then begins to eat. It's all quite good! Maybe not as good as her home made oglop soup with its special seasoning... thespecialseasoningislove. But it's pretty darn good!

The question doesn't appear to faze her. She answers matter-of-factly.]

Well, Mother and Father got sick and returned to the stars. Then Grandfather did, too. So I took care of myself!

I got adopted by a new Mother and Father, but I don't think they're here.
