[ ouch, geez Noishe, warn a guy before you howl! oh well, he forgives you. especially since you're calling for a friend. ( he assumes anyways. ) there'll be more pats as genis waits for him. ]

I guess I'll take that as a yes. [ at least with noishe nearby, genis knows that nothing dangerous is. ]

[ it's most definitely a yes! all Noishe does is pant idly as he waits, dipping his head to accommodate Genis's short stature. bring on the pets, my friend.

after about a minute or so, the bushes in front of them will start to rustle, along with some frustrated grunts and an all-too familiar voice calling out for Noishe. eventually the source emerges from the bushes, brushing off his sleeves: his clothes are somewhat different from his usual dwarven wear, but it's definitely Lloyd.

he finishes brushing off the leaves before looking up at Noishe, eyes widening when he realizes why exactly he called him over. ]

...Genis?!

[ Genis tensely slightly as the woods rustle by ultimately relaxes once he recognizes the figure. Lloyd!! One of the faces that he wanted to see most of all. There's definitely a cheery grin as Genis heads towards his best friend. ]

Lloyd! [ taking another glance at his friend's new clothes. ] Guess your fashion sense hasn't gotten any better. [ definitely a tease. after all, he's never had a problem with his friend's choice of style. ]

[ honestly, Lloyd wishes the sentiments were the same. it's not that he didn't miss Genis, because man did he miss Genis, but there was still what happened the last time he'd seen him: when he drew his swords against everyone back at Cape Fortress. he still feels terrible about that and is still hesitant about facing Genis even after his promise to Emil. plus there was the whole war thing going on in the Drabwurld-- the last thing he wanted to see his best friend get involved in was this stupid war.

but... he's here. he's not going to go so far as to say there's nothing he can do about Genis's arrival, but there's no point in wishing for something that's already been made impossible. there's also no point in worrying about that sort of thing when his fashion sense is being made fun of. again. ]

H-hey, there's nothing wrong with these!

[ stupidly indignant over his choice of clothes, just like old times... ]

I guess it isn't the worse thing you've ever worn. [ he shrugs before giving his friend another genuine smile. already he felt better about the situation with the knowledge that lloyd was in the world as well. though, the whole idea of a war on hand wasn't easy to take in. especially since he was expected to take part in it. and besides if lloyd was here then there was the chance that maybe colette or raine or presea were here as well. ]

Have you seen anyone else? I was kinda worried that I was the only one dragged here before I saw Noishe.

[ wow genis just because he has better fashion sense than you doesn't mean you have to diss him like this.

this is all too familiar to Lloyd and it nearly makes him fall back into routine. keyword being nearly, as before he can get back to the jokes and smiles, he sobers up. he hesitates for a moment, thinking on something, before shaking his head. ]

...No. It's just been me and Emil for a while, as far as I know. [ it's not exactly a lie. he nearly mentions that Zelos was here up until a few months ago, but that's a topic that should be saved for later, when Genis has a better idea of what's going on. it doesn't stop him from lifting his hand to stop right below his chest: to Genis it may seem like a simple movement, but the spot where his fingers rest is right above where Zelos's shard hangs safely around his neck.

yeah, that topic is definitely something that should be saved for later. ]
