[ the girl sitting next to wirt has only been half-listening to all of his mutterings to himself (quietly judging him for his taste in clothing, but she reminds herself that she shouldn't assume things too soon). it's only when he starts to protest the stealing of his food that she gives him her full attention, an eyebrow lifting. ]

Were you going to eat it or not?

[palaverous]

[He looks over at her, a little mortified that she heard him talking to himself! Dammit Wirt!]

I hadn't decided yet. I mean, one the one hand, I'm hungry. On the other hand, the did kind of kidnap us and bring us here against our will and it is a little weird to eat your kidnapper's food. But food is good for strength to escape.

[A pause.]

So. I was still mulling it over.

[snipers]

[ she stares at him for a few moments more before making a great big show out of rolling her eyes and getting up from her seat at the bench.

aaaand then she's gone. down the hall. like the caterer. but she's only gone for about ten minutes before she returns with another plate of food for wirt, setting it down in front of him and taking her seat again.

curiously, she hasn't really touched her own meal... ]

[HE AIN'T GOT NO SPINE. Slowly, he spoons the food into his mouth. It's... alright. Better than an empty stomach at least.]

[ she pushes the tips of her fork around on the plate, still wondering why this place doesn't have chopsticks??? c'mon bruh if you're gonna pull people from all sorts of cultures and places you should at least cater to them during meal time. ] It's really stupid, if you ask me, they want us to fight in some kind of war.

But apparently kids around the age of twelve are considered adults here.
