[ the mention of a dorm is what catches yukari's interest initially — what keeps her interest are those red headphones that look so much like her leader's.

and the gekkoukan uniform. the surprise on yukari's face is obvious; she hadn't realized that there were other people from home here! she thought she'd be alone with junpei forever. you know what, yukari doesn't care that she doesn't recognize this girl, she's going to aggressively befriend her so that she has someone else to hand around instead of stupei.

so, quickly following this girl is the detective of sees, and yukari doesn't stop until she can finally reach forward and grab the other girl's arm to stop her. ]

H, hey! [ if she sounds a little out of breath, well, it's because she is. ] Slow down! [ and after she's caught her breath: ] You're a Gekkoukan student?!

[contrasting]

[Minako's enjoying her self-given tour of the Station that she it might generally be hard to get her attention, but there's the grabbing of her arm and that voice. She think she imagines it at first, but as she turns her head, she sees her, the same girl she knows all too well.

She doesn't even listen to what Yukari says, as if the quickly widening grin on her face has somehow made her deaf to anything said in the next minute. Instead, she wastes no time in quickly rushing forward, wrapping her arms tight around the girl's neck, giggling with delight.]

Yukari, Yukari! They didn't tell me you'd come too!

[snipers]

[ almost immediately yukari freezes up, frightened that this girl only knows of her name through gossip and heresay, and of course that makes yukari sick to her stomach. it's not that yukari's not a cuddly girl, it's just... well, no, that's exactly it. she's really not big on physical affection and that alone would make her extremly uncomfortable in this tight hug.

it lasts for only a second before she pushes minako back by the hips, putting a good space between them. ]

Uhm, sorry, but... do I know you?

[contrasting]

[She's a bit surprised at that sudden push. She and Yukari had shared a lot together, been through enough that hugs like this had actually become a bit more commonplace. But the push is nothing compared to what Yukari actually says, an unbelievable comment that Minako actually snorts a bit.]

Oh, come on, my hair might be kinda frizzed a bit from the trip over here but I doubt I look that different. [Oh, if only she knew.

Then she has a thought that makes her pout a bit.] This isn't payback for laughing at Junpei's joke, is it? You know he's just kidding when he says that stuff.

[snipers]

[ now yukari feels something akin to fear twist in her gut, and on instinct that immediately makes her defensive and a little mean. ]

I don't know what kind of a joke you're pulling— [ and she sneers just a little, crossing her arms ] — but it's not funny. Just because you're a student at Gekkoukan doesn't make us best friends.

[ AND SHE HAD SUCH HIGH HOPES... ]

[contrasting]

Yu-Yukari ...? Come on, that's ... that's not funny anymore. [She keeps laughing nervously, despite how angry her friend looks. Though she barely looks like a friend now with how serious she's playing this part.

And then she wonders. Did they kill Ryoji? When the fairies had taken her, did her friends step up and make the decision themselves? Did they choose to simply wipe away their memories in the end ... ?

Despite everything, Minako doesn't frown. Even if her smile has vanished, she continues to look Yukari straight in the eye.]

Do you ... really not remember me?

[snipers]

[ and yukari doesn't back down. she wants an answer, and she wants it now. ]

No, I have no idea who you are.

[contrasting]

[She did wonder at one point what it might be like if they did choose to try to live life normally again. She wondered, but she never imagined forgetting each other. Not like this.

I guess they really did choose to forget.

Even though her hands are shaking, quivering as she squeezes them into fists, hoping that might stop her verge of tears. It's not Yukari's fault. The girl doesn't know anymore. So for now, she'll go along with it. Because the fairies told her she could still save her friends in this place. And she'd do it, even if the memories were gone.

So Minako just laughs, well enough as if she's trained for it all her life, tapping the side of her head.]

Um, sorry! I might've gotten you mixed up with someone is all! Awful memory in here. [She gives a slight bow.] I'm Arisato Minako.

[snipers]

[ there's something metallic at the back of her mouth; bitter. it makes her feel sick as she takes another step back and that cold dread she usually feels in tartarus washes over her again. this situation is quickly spiraling out of her control and she's trying to compensate for it by acting tougher than she is. ]

What the hell... [ she takes another step back, lifting one hand up to her chest as though to protect herself. ] That's not possible...

[ but she knows junpei. she knows junpei. she mentioned him by name. she goes to gekkoukan, stayed in a dorm, —how...

stepping forward again, yukari lashes out and grabs minako by the shoulder. ]

How do you know Junpei!?

[contrasting]

[There's a contrast from the earlier push when Minako feels that squeeze to her shoulder, but Yukari doesn't look anymore convinced either. Still, it's almost as if something's triggering, even if it might not necessarily be what she's hoping for.

Maybe she could spill just a little bit in that case.]

Well, uh, we're in the same class. And we live together. In the same building, I mean. Though he's a floor below us with Akihiko-senpai, since that's where the boys — [Oh, she's rambling too much. Best to keep to short details, so she's biting her lip and giving a shrug to cut herself off.]
