No worse than that boisterous King of Conquerors. [Translation: hey. Good to see a familiar face.] Death has not done you unkindness, I see. Count your blessings, Servant, that you might fight me with full strength.
no subject
Not at all, on either count. I have been returned to the living once again, as hale and hearty as ever, and I am nowhere near my full strength right now.
It seems that upon my arrival, a fair number of the tools at my disposal were made unavailable to me.

[Ordinarily a Master might scold him for giving away such a vital weakness, but Gilgamesh is without a master and also without any concern for the threat Rider poses. Their equal standing does not extend beyond their status as Servants and Kings.
He wonders if Rider still knows that, and would still throw himself into a suicidal charge against him. While he would chide his foolishness, he could never condemn his bravery. Waver serves a worthy liege.]
No matter. It will be returned to me, and all will be as it should. Surely you recognize destiny when it bears down upon you, Rider.
no subject
Destiny? Bah - the only destiny I acknowledge is the destiny I make with my own two hands!
[Although he doesn't sound angry or scornful when he says this. More like someone who's just that self-assured]

[But it's banter exchanged in good spirits. Gilgamesh would rather consult with the familiar enemy than take chances with strangers of unknown alliances. This man, at least, can be trusted to give his word and honor it. And that counts for a lot in Gilgamesh's eyes.]
We are Servants, and in this conspirators. What of this realm? What of it differs from our own? Speak and I shall listen.
no subject
[Punctuated with a wink]
Indeed. And it is quite different - the regular bonds from the Throne and between our Masters do not seem to exist here. Or at least not in the same manner.
Our disconnection from that which is ours has already been made clear.

[...well, bring enough for everyone else, anyway. Gilgamesh bringing enough for himself is kind of a given. But even the haughty King acknowledges the helpful information with a nod; it confirms his suspicions and assures him that they've entered on equal footing.
Sort of. He'll still be standing one inch taller than the next tallest man, of course.]
I'm surprised you haven't toppled those Thrones over already, affront to your credo as they are. Have you turned lazy? [No, the more likely answer is...] Or has that boy stayed your hand?
no subject
[The last bit makes him smirk, though]
Why, whatever makes you think so? But... King of Heroes... you aren't envious, are you?
no subject
Of what, exactly?
no subject
Well, with the way you put the emphasis on "boy" there, it was only natural to assume...
no subject
He's older than I remember. Somehow.
no subject
Although he seems to be about twice as tall as he was before!
no subject
[His tone suggests he's teasing. Or as much as Gilgamesh ever does, without it hinging on teasingly murderous territory.]
no subject
[Who wouldn't be overly fond of him? He's hilarious! But he isn't letting Archer cop out like that]
no subject
Keep him out of sight and out of trouble, then, before I steal him away. There are several uses I could think of...
no subject
Hoh? Not that I think he'll have trouble with that, but what uses exactly?
