Ah, you'd be surprised. If there's anyone who can do it, it's my friend. Don't think we've ever gotten to a place we were supposed to be going yet. Never mind the ways we're normally supposed to wind up here, either. If there's anyone who could get stick us right smack in the one of the Courts, it's the Doctor.
[He hears that Scottish accent clear as day, so it's natural enough to assume that a fellow countryman knows the same stories he grew up with. That's fine with him - it means he doesn't have to go into a lot of detail. But he does frown a little as he looks around. It's something he's done at least a dozen times since he's gotten here, but the result's still the same.]
Can't say as though I've seen him, though. With my luck he's somehow managed to wind up over on the other side. Or Zoe did and he's gone after her. Ah...she's a friend, too, but I've not seen her either. If these parties are a regular thing, though, maybe they're just off investigating them.

[ Blame it on the TARDIS, of course. Once the words leave his mouth the Doctor has the realization that he doesn't look like the Doctor that Jamie would know. He doesn't sound like him either, but maybe just maybe the fact that he's Scottish now would even out the fact that he isn't likely to believe him. ]
He's not— the likelihood of him being here is low, Jamie. Had we both managed to be standing right in front of you, there's a distinct possibility we could have made this entire world explode. [ A pause, because oh he probably needs to explain this. ] I had a face before the one you know, the— oh what were their— the 60s girl and her boy— Ben and Polly. They knew me when I had a different face. You just knew the one with the bowtie and— my horrendous hair cut and the— [ He's getting distracted. ] I don't have the TARDIS with me and I haven't seen her anywhere.

And ye expect me to believe that? That the Doctor can just change faces whenever he likes? And get taller, too?
[Not to mention changing his voice as well, and the whole Scottish part of things isn't exactly helping matters here. Maybe if Ben or Polly were here, it'd be another story - especially since Polly would likely be fairly quick to say if it were true or not. With either of them here (and with his meeting with Six far in his own future), right now he doesn't believe a word of it.]
Look, I can accept a lot of things, but if ye think I'm going to buy that one, you're daft. Now, maybe you'll be wanting to tell me how ye actually know about the TARDIS - and Ben and Polly, for that matter. Especially since I'd not said anything about them to ye at all. Go on, I'm waiting.
