Dracoooooooooooo <33.... also i. c:
Though Aslan generally does 'eat' in the tradition sense, there is something a bit more satisfying about chasing down your meal instead of taking it from a table.
A lion is likely an odd sight 'just passing by', but then a dragon is, too. Aslan, for his own part, seems bemused despite himself. No judgement here for swiping those fat sheep. ]
Is it to your liking?
Aslaaaaan /o/
Hmm? [ Draco pulls his head up from the sheep he's tearing into, blood smeared across his scales. Even though this is normal for how he eats, it's always a little embarrassing to be caught with a snout full of gore and fluff. ] Ah.
[ A talking lion. Of course, sure, that seems to fit this place. ]
Of course. A sheep tastes like any other sheep, so I hardly expected it to not be.
Re: Aslaaaaan /o/
There's no need to be embarrassed, though, Draco. It's not like you're talking to a human or anything. He's pretty chill most of the time. ]
I had wondered. This world is curious yet not so different from whence I came.
[ Magic. Dragons. Visitors from other worlds. Etc, etc. ]

[ And that's said with some measure of irritation. Magic this, magic that, magic, magic, magic. He may technically be magical simply by existence, but that doesn't mean he cares for it! ]
But if the sheep taste the same, I am glad for it, even though I may try something more unique if the chance happens by.
no subject
I'll not keep you from it.
[ A dragon and his meals are serious business, after all. ]
Your name, if I may have it.
no subject
[ Given to him by a very rude man, rude with little imagination, yet still a good man. Anyway, to the sheep, he wave a great hand to it. ]
And you are more than welcome to stay and join me. It has been forever since I've spoken to anyone not of the, ah, well, let's just say the two-legged variety.
[ Just calling everyone human really didn't apply here. ]
no subject
So it shall be, then. My name is Aslan.
[ Also not very imaginative since it means "lion" in another tongue. Still, it serves its purpose.
As to the other comment, he does understand where the other is coming from. And how. ]
It is not so common. Those who speak with the tongues of Men yet are not of them are often misunderstood.
[ Or judged to be less than what they are. It is the way of things, and he is not blind to it. ]

[ Although he speaks more from experiences in his own lands rather than this one. Here, it really does depend on who he meets, though the fear is never truly gone. ]
Though I do imagine that depends on who you meet. It seems to have a wider range in these lands than I am used to.

A soft rumble sounds in Aslan's throat, and he appears thoughtful more than anything else. ]
That is true. Even those who hear do not always listen.
[ He has seen many instances of this throughout the years, but there is one memory in particular that comes to him now. ]
I knew a man once who could neither hear my words nor understand them because he convinced himself I could not speak.

He did not think it possible.
[ The tale itself over how such a thing came about is long and complex, but he simplifies it as best he can. ]</small. He had never heard a creature speak to him thus, and his fear led to unbelief. It did not matter what I said or how -- all he allowed himself to see was my shape, and he could hear nothing else.

It must have worried him too terribly if he fooled himself into that. It could not have been an easy feat.
