Arno stares at Sam at that, jaw slacking and blinking owlishly for a good moment or so. Then, he snaps his mouth shut again and furrows his brow.]

Well. Sadly, I'm lacking in the whole knowledge of what the difference of three hundred years makes. This is unfortunate.

Wish I could say I was any better at world history than economics, man, but I'm not gonna be much use to you there either.

[ mark down two ( 2 ) men wholly unequipped for the weirdness of this place. sam goes to scratch his chin before remembering there's a cup in his hand, then then he realizes they're in a coffee shop with drinks and chairs and he can totally work with that. ]
