[ To be without technology is a bizarre thing for one who's been immersed within it until very recently. Rani was born of magical means, magical crafting, alchemical teaching raised her, but technology was, until now, her world. To be without it is strange, yet for the lack of technological sense and power, her magic is still strong. The innate Od pulsing through her inhuman body. ]

Surely, it is a dream...or have I been truly spirited away? [ Quieter, to herself. ] I wonder if these spirits here are like those recorded within the Moon Cell's archives.

[ When everything else seems like it's out of a story, why wouldn't it be that way? It's something to ponder more as she studies the food in front of her. So much human food in one place! And all of it looking more delicious than the last. Maybe she should try to sample it,]

[There was something in fairy tales that cautioned against eating fairy food, she remembers. Or had that been something else? A myth, or something. Whatever it might be, she's reluctant to touch anything at the feast, no matter how nice it looks or how hungry she's getting...which is pretty hungry.

Her stomach is steadily winning the battle against her willpower, and she goes to hover near one of the dessert tables, when the sight of someone she thinks is familiar completely eliminates any thought of food. She gently grabs hold of the woman's wrist, hoping to get her attention.]

[ When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Or so they say. Rani repeats the mantra to herself the more she contemplates whether or not to actually eat anything. So long as she still has her magic, food is unnecessary, but on the other hand, food is amazing and why not try some? Or all of it. Whichever ends up happening, really.

The grip on her wrist stops her, and she lowers her other hand slowly to her side as she turns to get a better look at Utena. With that countenance, is she one of the fey, or just another of those pulled into their world? ]

Himemiya? [ Being mistaken for someone else is another novel experience, especially someone with such an elegant name, and one she doesn't expect. So far as she knows, Sialim had no preset model upon which to base her. But, unlikely as it is, it isn't astronomically impossible that she shares a face with another. ] I'm afraid you are mistaken.

[When she sees the girl up close, she realizes her mistake. The eyes are different, the hair.

Still, she'd been so sure... and even with those differences, the similarities are so jarring. Utena finds herself staring for a few seconds too long before she balks, releases Rani's wrist so quickly it's almost as if she's afraid the contact will make her catch fire. A slow-burning blush makes its way past the collar of her crisp uniform jacket to settle warmly in her cheeks.]

It is not what I'm used to, but it isn't terrible. It just bears immersing myself fully within the mana I have only heard tales about.
