omg are you going to app him

[She's not surprised, it was a 50/50, but that doesn't mean she has to like it, and boy she does not. Flora isn't hotheaded and even now her voice is still calm, but there's edge there that wasn't before. She won't take being disrespected so easily.]

Well, I gave it and cannot take it back, and I am no mongrel. I've heard of heroes, and know plenty, just not of you. You're not from my realm.

[They definitely would have covered him in history class if so. In a "Do not ever be", she'd hope.]

nope it's just all one big golden ruse gomen (I may already have one done)

[personal profile] babbylon 2015-01-06 07:02 am (UTC)(link)
[Fine. He'll humor her. If only because the mounting indignation promises amusement and a welcome departure from that sickeningly sweet Your Highness.]

What realm? I'll entertain your claim... briefly.
showmeyourwreath: (✾ Peruvian Lily)

i might have looked at the beautiful l'oreal gif

[personal profile] showmeyourwreath 2015-01-06 07:10 am (UTC)(link)
[Sorry she has manners!! But she might be ditching them altogether. Mostlytogether.]

Linphea is where I was born. I don't know where you might be from, and even if I did, not only are people from different worlds, they're from different times, dimensions or different iterations of the universe.

stare into the endless abyss of superior haircare... forever

All worlds have heroes, tales of valor and triumph. And as I explained but moments ago, all of these tales originate from one source.

[His eyes narrow before the locket, particularly bloody up close and particularly nasty.]

Strike this foolish concept of "yours" and "theirs" from every thought, from every fiber of your worthless being. Those too belong to me, and so could only rightly be called "mine", the property of the true King of Heroes.
showmeyourwreath: (✾ Limonium)

i almost did like "shit, i got stuff to do, but oh...so hypnotic"

[personal profile] showmeyourwreath 2015-01-06 07:35 am (UTC)(link)
The source is different for me, and I'm afraid it isn't you.

[It's unsettling, but Flora does not cow easily, especially not when he's being so charming.]

Where were you born, anyway?

[Since his kingdom is apparently everything and everywhere ever. But if there's some truth to what he's saying, he has to be at least a little old.]

[This was, perhaps, a wiser conversation to pursue. Eyes turned slit like a snake's soften hearing her ask, and for a moment his mind wanders off to that very place, where the sun always shines and where the sand scorches even the hardiest soul's feet.

But not his. Never his.]

Not where. When. The dawn of humanity and the dusk of a darker age.

[In a breathy, reverent word...]

Civilization. You may mark my birth there, following such glorious advent.

[...very old, indeed.]

So, Earth, then?

[That's what she's guessing, since he mentioned humanity. She doesn't care for a lot of things about him, to put it incredibly mildly, but she's curious and a nerd, and also wary. The more she knows, the better on multiple fronts.]

Not that that isn't impressive, [There is a "but" coming, but she does give what precedes it some genuine consideration.] but not everyone here is human. There are beings far, far older than humanity.

[Still, she takes a moment to think She and her friends were guardians of the people of Earth, which involved learning about them, something that needed no prompting from her, even if she would not call herself an expert, either.]

So...are you from Mesopotamia?

[personal profile] babbylon 2015-01-08 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
[Hm... it's a good guess. And an accurate one, of course. Not even Gilgamesh would deny the undeniable truth, for he sees no reason and no need. At the very least she seems to have earned a small bit of favor, as there's a slight easing of that natural sharpness in his tone and he doesn't glance quite so hatefully at the locket as before.

It's progress. She's just got a very long way to go if she's interested in earning not just favor, but respect.]

Indeed. [But he will correct her on one aspect, as he so enjoys doing:] And I am not a being who walks among men any longer.
showmeyourwreath: (❁ Daffodil)

good lord sorry for late. life sucks.

[personal profile] showmeyourwreath 2015-01-13 11:08 am (UTC)(link)
[She allows herself a smile, though her posture remains as it is, by no means getting comfortable or relaxed in the least. Even if he hasn't already left such an...impression, she would not want to seem presumptuous.

At the correction, she tilts her head curiously.]

Do you mean to say you're some sort of deity?

[There's a lot of things he could mean by that, but she'll just shoot high, here. It seems safest.]
