[As Makalaure should. Eru met that shy glance with ever present patience, and this time, did not force the little Light to remain close. He could feel it was stronger now, brighter. Healthier. Embarrassment he did not understand, and went unrecognized.]

You needed rest to recover, and so you had rest.

[Because thank you was a term that vaguely perplexed him. There was much he could learn, now, by living amongst the Created - either by his own Song, or by others'.

Even if resting made just as much sense to him, he'd witnessed it's benefit enough that he approved of it.]

[Most curious. But that was Makalaure, and Eru did not mind.]

Where else should I be but here to nurture one of my precious Children to restore their Light?

[ A shy puzzled stare from the corner of his eye ]

Surely my Lord has better places to be?

[ he fiddles absently with the blankets and it is only then that he realises ]

Time is vast and I can attend to other things at other points.

[At the time being, nothing was more important than Makalaure and healing him. The realization the little Light had then earned a light laugh.]

[ Shy wonder and building joy as he stares at his hand, the scars faded to barely visible things, the pain vanished as if it had never been, and the tears that fall are those of joy ]

Thank you. [ he chokes out ] You... my Lord is gracious and compassionate beyond my understanding.

[The shy little Light just brought joy to him as he watched Makalaure see what had been done while he rested. Eru couldn't, nor did he really attempt, do anything but pull the little Child to him again in a warm embrace of love.]

You have suffered long, my Minstrel. Will you walk with me, now?

[ He startles at the hug, before slowly and shyly the once-scarred hand closes on robes and he nods ]

Where my Lord leads me, I will follow.

[Eru stood at the agreement, bringing Makalaure up with him. Taking care enough to not dislodge that hand that had so recently feared to reach out from it's hold. And he led the way back out, and on through halls at an unhurried pace, content to continue to spend this space of Time with Makalaure.]
