[ Her approach is quiet and were he anyone else he thinks he would find the sudden appearance startling. Instead, he turns, his eyes flickering over Leliana before he offers her a soft smile. He is quite fond of the Inquisitor's advisor and he understands their importance, even if there are other things he believes they should focus on - the Inquisition, for him, for now, is a means to an end.

The wrinkle in his nose relaxes as he gives her a nod of his head, looking back at the tea. It's as though the imps had been intentionally attempting to frustrate him and he huffed, arms crossing over his chest. ]

Tea. I detest it. [ He turns to look at her properly. ] I had hoped it would be water, but it seems I was deceived. Welcome, Spymaster.

[ She's well versed in means and ends and everything in between; she certainly doesn't doubt that there was more to his coming to offer his knowledge and help than simply good will or intent. But it was knowledge, and that was a currency she enjoyed dealing with (even if it was jut the slightest bit unnerving, how nondescript everything about him was; how little she could actually trace).

She hums, a quiet little melody beneath the near ambient sound of those around them.
] I would have been truly surprised if they did offer water at such a - celebration.

In fact, I'm rather surprised that was just tea. Our hosts seem adventurous, after all. [ There's a tint of annoyance, there, one she doesn't care to hide too much. There was too much unknown here still, and what she did know was unnerving at best. Only fools would see this merriment as that alone. ]
