Don't worry, this is all going to sound crazy, but we're safe here in the castle. It's called Caer Glaem. And if you're here, it means you've been recruited as a member of the Seelie court, like me.

[ which is what she's seriously so thankful for. Elsa has friends in the Unseelie court now, sure, but the idea of her being split up from her sister- well, she's glad she doesn't have to entertain the thought. things are changing, with both the war itself and her feelings about it, but right now that doesn't matter very much. how could it? she feels overwhelmed, in a way, so grateful and worried and happy and overprotective all rolled up into a little rubber ball of a feeling that feels like bouncing around her chest like mad. she wants to explain everything, make sure she's as prepared as she can be for what she's about to experience, but there's also the big sister part of her that just wants to make sure are you okay? ]

This place is called the Drabwurld. There's magic, and people from- everywhere, anywhere. It's hard to explain without making it sound more confusing than it has to be, but you'll see what I mean as you get to know more people. And this- [ she holds her hand out just past her hip, and Siku is quick to look up and nose at her fingers, snuffling a bit, happyhappyhappy. ] - this is Siku. She's a snow fox, and she was given to me by one of the fairies here, a few months ago. She was just a little baby then, you should have seen her. But now she's sort of grown to be a companion of sorts. [ her eyes crinkle as she smiles again ] We're not quite as close as Sven and Kristoff just yet, but maybe someday we will be. [ she also helps focus her magic a bit, but she'll get to that later ] She's very sweet, I promise.

[deiced]

[ She's nodding along, trying to follow - trying her best, but be that as it may a lot of it still goes over her head. It's just the same thing she's already been told. Though while it doesn't help her understanding much, the fact that it's Elsa saying it... well, that means a lot more. The fairies were very pretty and charmed her very much, but Anna knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that her sister wouldn't lie to her. ]

Shouldn't we get back?

[ Arendelle is waiting for them. Kristoff is waiting for her. And just think how Olaf would feel if suddenly neither of them came back... ]

I mean - this place is nice and all, but...

[glacio]

[ her mouth opens, but shuts again before she manages to say anything, because- is there even a gentle way of putting this? she knows she doesn't have to sugarcoat things for Anna, it's not really in her to do so anyway, but it's a heavy question to try and answer. it should be that simple. she wishes it was. but- ]

We don't have much control over when we arrive here, or when we leave again. The monarchs seem to have a way of manipulating time, I suppose, and as such, they feel it's justifiable to keep us here as long as they see fit.

[ and she almost apologizes, because she is sorry, she knows how much it means to Anna - the gates finally being open, being united with their kingdom instead of locked away in the castle - but. well. as responsible as she feels, and as much as she's been hoping, she knows it wasn't her choice to bring her here. none of them have that control. ]

I've been here for a few months now, Anna. [ time for Elsa to have a minor babble moment- ] Well, I was here, and then the monarchs sent me home, only to bring me back a few days later. ... A few days later at home, but a few months later, here. [ it's a short-lived babble! ] My point is that while we're here, the people at home won't know we're gone.

[ but that's not very comforting, is it!! she's so bad at this. ]

But we're not just trapped here, you know? They brought us here because they need our help. That's what I've been trying to focus on - that if I can't be at home, in our kingdom, then I should be doing what I can to help here.

[deiced]

So that wasn't... really you? I just saw you, we were just - Elsa, when was the last time you saw me?

[ They need our help. That resonates - finds her determination to do good and coaxes it away from worrying who's in charge of Arendelle right now. They don't know they're gone? Then who's in their place? Anna's not the one who was born to rule but she still cares deeply about their kingdom, their people, just as she knows Elsa does. ]

[glacio]

It was, for sure it was me, but- [ it's clear she's wishing she was better at explaining this, had the technical know-how, but it's something that's never been explained here, not really. not beyond "magic". still, she pauses to take a breath, her hands twisting up in front of her, out of some kind of nerves she won't put a name on. it should be easy to talk to your own sister, shouldn't it? and in the little time they got to spend together ( finally ) after all those years ( finally ), it was easy to talk to Anna. but now she's finding herself worried about saying the absolute wrong thing, and it's- it's difficult. not to feel nervous because of that. ]

What were you doing when the fairies found you and asked you to come here with them? For me- the first time was while we were ice skating. They pulled me away and told me- everything you said before, about being precious and important. The second time was just a day or so later. I tried to get to you, I wanted to tell you this time, but- [ she shakes her head ] Do you remember that? Skating together? It's okay if you don't, this place has a terrible habit of mixing things up.

[deiced]

[ Anna's eyebrows lift in surprise the moment the skating is mentioned. She nods along to the rest, clearly bursting to speak but waiting until Elsa is finished because it's polite and... well, she figures her sister's had more than her fair share of not being able to talk to people. ]

It must've been the same time!

[ She explodes with it finally, the moment it's her turn to talk again. ]

I mean - that's where I just came from! We were skating, even though you know I don't skate and... [ Blink. ] ... Whoa. You're from the future now? You get all the cool things. [ A little grin shows she's teasing. ]

[glacio]

[ she gives her a look, but it's all kinds of fond ]

Only by a few hours, it's hardly anything to be so jealous about. [ as if she's sure that Anna is very serious right now! but then she's grinning too ]

But seriously, even though the circumstances of your arrival are a little- crazy, the rest of this place... It's like home, in a lot of ways.

There's more magic. And there's the- war. But I have no doubt you'll enjoy it here. At least, I hope you will. I do.

[ which is probably a teenytinybut selfish, but she really doesn't like the idea of Anna being stuck here if she ends up not liking it. especially since, for the most part, this world has only given her good things. friends, a new confidence. practice in her power, and in her people skills, too. which is more important than she even realizes, yeah. but! yeah. none of that matters so much if Anna doesn't end up liking it here. ]

I can't promise you'll be able to avoid ice skating while you're here, though. There's a boy here who has powers like mine, and we may have planned a few snow days in the future.
