[She knows, he realizes. But it is no great surprise. The rumor had certain circulated thanks to the letters Stannis sent out. He pities her to know that she suffered so much from a boy who had no right to any thrones, either by parentage or his own virtue.]

I would believe it of Joffrey, to be sure. But my brother? No, this court seems built for a man like him. I cannot imagine him anywhere but here. [And oh that he were. Tyrion would greatly benefit at having his brother by his side.]

The monarchs make their claims. Queen Morla must have wanted him in her ranks -- it seems she is well accustomed to getting the things she wants.

A queen you seem to have no love for. [That last statement was rather telling.]

She is not my queen -- [ implying, therefore, that sansa has no obligation to love her. or even to pretend to love her. not as she'd been called upon to play particular obeisance to joffrey. not as she spoke more sweetly of the seelie's shimmering monarchs. ] Certainly, it would be wrong to show my enemy any such good will.

Perhaps not. Though it can prove useful as well. A little good will can never hurt. Would that my kin knew as much, we'd have all been better off.

[He could not name any one of them for not making things worse, though it was clear his sister and nephew had made things as terrible as possible.]
