[Though, he was a bit of a smart-ass, regardless. In truth, Lancer did care about the outcome, but he was too sensible to get hung-up on the concept of winning. Sometimes, you just had to lose and if he did, he figured everyone else who lost would have a choice of dealing with it or biting back out of frustration.]
Not sure if you'll get straight answers, though. I've heard it's a lot of shifty stuff--the objectives both sides have got. 'Course, that's true of any warring kingdom. None of the truth sits out in the open, y'know?
