[he doesn't dare remove his cowl. he doesn't trust anyone here not to kill him, and even if templars are not visible yet, he assumes they are somewhere

still, she addressed him first and it's as though she's making it seem like he approached her.]

If there is a way here, there is a way home. [it's only logical, isn't it?] My name is Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad of Masyaf. Who are you?

( Well, he was creeping around the corridors. Part of her almost hopes that this turns into a fight, that is spirals into something she can pour all her energy into that'll take her away from the fact that she's lost that precious handful of friends again.

There's a flicker of a smile, but it isn't especially friendly - it's too sharp for that. )

Lara Croft, of London.

( ... sort of, any way.

Masyaf tugs at her memory: castles, organisations aiming to preserve heritage and peace. It seemed the sort of place she'd always wanted to go. It was particularly famed for medieval castles, from memory. Masyaf castle was reputed to have Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine architecture, built over and into one another. She tilts her head, looking at him more closely.

A beat. )
Well met, Altaïr. I have not visited Masyaf, but I've learned a little of its history.

( Because seriously, those clothes. And she did just recently fight some ancient samurai. She's curious, you could say. Of course, he could just be very interested in historical reenactment? Or something? )
