It did! Hiko too is sooooo good. And I've never really cared about Saitou one way or the other before, but this movie did it for me. tbh I was generally pretty impressed with how they adapted the story overall, but—and this is so nerdy—I think my favorite thing is the fight choreography, fuckkkk is it cool!

Shit, I totally feel you with Saitou, I felt exactly the same. I actually worry about him here. AND YES the choreographies are the best and I think that's why most fans are liking the movies so far even with the changes. They use little effects and the fights are still awesome, and Kenshin is still his crazy circus self on the walls, which could've gone horrible but lookes great.
