Tagging Habits: normally, i am to return tags once a day if i can, usually earlier in the morning... when a lot of people are asleep, hah! (right now my laptop's broken so i'm using my tablet and... am much much much slower, to which i apologise!) i prefer brackets for big mingle logs and action — if only because it makes me feel less guilty about typos, haha — but i am flexible, especially on one on one ~serious~ things.
RP preferences: i prefer having things planned out in most cases; stuff like, do you want mako involved in this or not, or a general idea of interaction because he's not a... particularly social charcter, and if we can come up with a reason for engagement, all the better. but i do not mind at all letting those plans stray if it pans out that way.
A little bit about you: i'm 21 and from pennsylvania... and got a concussion back in october, so i'm taking a semester off from school right now, oops. my plurk is about 60:40 rp:rl, aaand my fandoms are p widespread, though i don't talk about them much on plurk. off the top of my head, lok/atla, asoiaf (show only bc i'm a filthy casual), tamora pierce, one piece, naruto, skyrim, dragon age, assassi's creed, fma, mcu, animal crossing, fe:a, nge, archer, pacrim hp, khr, and.... zelda?

Personality: 19 year old cop, who grew up oprhaned on the streets with his younger brother since the age of eight. bristly and bad at communicating, but also a huge weenie for feelings and shit. lots of protective instincts, and likes stability and knowing where he stands in the world, especially how it pertains to survival and being able to take care of people important to him. in particular, here, he keeps an eye out for the kids because he knows what it's like to be out in the world on your own without anyone caring for you, but at the same time, doesn't sugarcoat it.

Current location: still at the castle! he maaay be in a group going out on a trip to the station — separate from korra's group — because he's got his motorcycle now.

Current or future plans: like i said, the only potential plan for now is to go on a trip to the station. also maybe have him start learning to ride a horse, for when the motorcycle's a no go.
Catch-up: mako's not happy about being separated from his brother and involved in a war he doesn't agree with; he helped defend the castle from the worms, and has gotten into a fight with korra, but apart from that he's just trying to get his bearings on his place here before he makes any other moves. though his bending abilities would lean toward him being a combatant, he'll hold off on that as long as he can unless honestly pushed to it.
Desired CR: all kinds! mako has the nice duality of being both rude/prickly, but not actually mean (unless he wants to). i'd like for him to have some friends who can give him advice and help him adapt better to this world. people with skills with horses! even non-bending sparring partners, or someone who can help him learn to use weapons. he has a good mind for tactics and using avaliable assets to achieve goals, but poor leadership qualities, someone with experience on the strategy end of things might be good. of course, there's also going to be people put off by his :| attitude and jerkbenderness, who he can be equally annoyed by, which might be fun too!
Shipping: no. he broke up with korra like, an hour before arriving and is still not over it, not yet. onesided stuff is fine, but you have to literally hit him to get him to notice it.
Things to avoid:: none.
Other: gifs are hard bc tablet. so.

mako accidentally half adopted a cat that uses him as warm laptop keyboard to lie on. he was going to name it dinner.
