Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Hermione will absolutely be welcomed there, and he'll make an effort to make up for all the shit from before he came into power. Always better to have a sympathetic reputation and some allies on the Seelie side of things.

ALSO. re: wanting unknowing informants. My native lady is an exciled elf that'll be travelling around doing stuff and things and would likely be interested in the idea of Redgate and it's magic breaking properties. I would definitely offer her if you wanted some kind of unknowing mind-network informant, seeing as she has no idea what the magic inside of her is doing, and she doesn't care about the elf vs. vampire thing unless the vampires at Redgate did. She is a native, though, and as much as she'd like to pretend she's smart and savvy enough she really wouldn't be too difficult for him to manipulate if you wanted that sort of thing!

HELL YEAH. She would absolutely be welcome to visit Redgate, and (if they get a chance to speak away from all the blood granite) he could definitely use her for that! He'll be looking to make a network involving people of various ranks throughout the Drabwurld, and people who travel a lot would definitely be handy. The command would more or less just boil down to "send me a letter about anything significant you hear about wherever you happen to be and forget about it afterwards".

That is definitely doable! I'm pretty sure that her being around the granite would nullify the curse she has on her so she would freak about that and then pester him a bit about there being a way to carry it or use it or something WHO CARES THAT YOU'RE IN CHARGE SHE DOESN'T. But she is an aellyn exile and if she thinks he's unaware of what her cut ears and curse means she will definitely try to make Sara think shardbearers did it to her :c everything sucks, pls help this poor native elf girl.

If she pulls that one over on him then he would most definite try to help her get some sort of mobile blood granite solution. Gotta combat all those anti-shardbearer sentiments!

And then when he realizes the truth he wouldn't feel the least bit bad about mindfucking her for information purposes ahaha...

PERFECT. I can put her down for coming to Redgate and telling him about her poor curse and how awful the shardbearers have been and how she has nowhere to go :( Considering the rumours about her in Nimh Gleanne and the fact that people know she was cursed before she fled the town and started travelling alone it wouldn't be too hard to figure out that she was lying and take advantage of that! Mindfuck her.

Yes good. He can take her on a little stroll through the orchards or something when she visits as an excuse to get some distance from the blood granite and do his stuff.

Finding out about the exile thing may come afterwards. Because. Let's be real, he doesn't actually need a reason to decide with fuck with someone's head.

That sounds perfect! She'll probably freak out on him if she feels her messed up cursed hands coming back but she will complain that she misses being able to shapeshift. Her life is strange and hard 8) But she is yours to mindfuck with as you please and she can pass letters back to him with anything she ends up finding later on!

Any idea when during the skip you'll be having her visit?

I think maybe around late summer? Lae and Iorveth are travelling together from Elflands towards Truen and might hang there a bit, up to April, then move on towards Redgate from April before heading up north, so maybe June time if that works?
