Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Current Location: The Station
Planned Travel: Primarily between Seelie territory and the Station
General overview of recent events: Arrived very recently. Survived Jabberwock attack at Seelie HQ, fled to Station via fairy ring, encountered Jabberwock again and was wounded. Rescued by Yukari (Unseelie) and evacuated.
Recent open threads/posts: Seelie intro log. No other open posts quite yet but that should change soon; also I'm happy to tag in elsewhere in the meantime.

Who are your character's known associates/friends/enemies?: He's new and so only casually knows a handful of people -- Dorian, Hermione, Colette and Minako from the Seelie court and Yukari from the Unseelie.
What notable events has my character been a part of?: Only the stuff in recent events above, due to being a noob.
What can other characters easily ICly learn about your character?: He is not at all happy about being here and he's a bit of a grump. He's willing to be helpful when he can but he can be on the lazy side, and doesn't go out of his way to serve others except in an emergency.
What information is limited to specific CR?: Nothing comes to mind.
What information is my character willing to share/can be readily discovered if another works to uncover it?: He's very very skeptical of the Seelie vs. Unseelie premise and wants to meet more people from both courts to get their honest opinion and reasons for fighting. He will under no circumstances fight except in self-defense, and he doesn't plan to develop combat skills beyond what's absolutely necessary.

• Try to help the Station rebuild after the Jabberwock attack and, get some modern clothes if possible.


• Try to identify some trustworthy and non-aggressive Unseelie and neutral people in neutral territory and learn more about them.


• Search for a way home via research, esp. magic research (might have to wait until Seelie court progresses towards rebuilding -- thus, he might get caught up in rebuilding, esp. library, labs, etc.).


• The fairy rings will go down at an inconvenient moment for him, forcing him to take a long trek overland in one direction or another -- traveling companions welcome!


• Make some friends, or at least allies, in both Seelie and neutral territory.


• Investigate mysteries as they come up (grumpily).


• Reluctantly get saddled with pet ownership? (Maybe a baby chocobo, someday...)

Dorian would gladly hand over his notes on magic that he gathered from the Caer Glaem library to him! It's got a lot of references to books for further reason, but it breaks down different kinds of magic, how it can be used for protection/warding, etc, all on a beginner's level. He sort of likes to use it as a primer to help people pick a branch of magic they're interested in so they can start developing that way.

That would be very helpful! Oreki has reservations about learning to USE magic at the moment, but he definitely wants to know more about it.

I'm not sure Oreki will... immediately identify her as "trustworthy", but I'm enthusiastic about CR! Maybe they can meet up in the Station sometime?

SHE'S PRETTY...SOMETHING SOMETIMES that's for sure. But slow burn CR is nice too. She'll be around the Station and the Barrel a lot trying to recruit for the Magic Guild since those are neutral areas if you feel up for something there.

So Sera's living at the station and totally cool with helping rebuild stuff. Plus she's pretty neutral ... if a little leaning on the side of anti-all-this-rubbish. Aaaand she's gotta get around on foot at the moment, too.

All of that being said, I am thinking these two could easily bump into each other over the year and maybe build up some sort of CR. Interested at all?

Ah, yes please! Oreki would like to meet some neutral parties, and also he's mostly stuck with CR with other modern-day humans -- and that won't do at all.

I *still* haven't put a timeskip page up, I've been trying to find the bottom of my inbox "first" and of course there is no bottom. I would be happy to do something on Sera's timeskip page, or a log; otherwise I'll try to get a timeskip page of my own up soon.

If he makes it known he's looking for neutral parties, Rin might be willing to guide him one way or the other to someone. She's not exactly the easiest person to gain the trust of, but she does wear her heart on her sleeve so she's fairly honest except about her feelings clearly

Okay! If she does go through the Station a lot, would you like to try and import our TDM stuff after all or shall we start afresh? That was a bit of a rough start, but at least, entertaining...

We definitely can do that and then from that point on, she'll be the girl who breaks technology.

(What's funny is she's a contractor for an Unseelie project focused on making technology work in the Drabwurld)

How far along into the year would you like that to have happened? Summer would be good, but I can also squeeze it in March/April if need be.

I don't have a strong preference, so if you'd have to squeeze it in for it to work in March/April, let's go ahead and do it early summer!
