Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Dorian needs to develop communicators for some of his, er, less well-known friends. When the lockets go down, would you be up for him seeking Hermione's help in developing his different kinds of communication? (He wants to have multiple methods, to maximize avoiding detection or getting pinioned in.)

Also, helping learn concealment magic! And just general friend times, he likes her a lot.

They can definitely do that! I think by this point she will trust Dorian rather a lot and will help him learn the magic that she has to create devices of their own c: She's also looking in to how to teach him to make potions from her world!

Yes!! In return for her teaching him, obviously she'd get a certain amount of what he makes to sell for her drug pushing.

Yes, he will cuddle platonically. He is good at that being a Victorian who is learning to treat his female friends with the same open physical affection as his male ones.

SHE DOESN'T SELL DRUGS--- they could even go into business together, if you'd like! Hermione intends to start selling her network/locket things sometime towards the end of the year as soon as she realises that the lockets are really down (seeing as her own will still work with most of her CR) so if you wanted a witch business partner... c:

Oh, that might be a good idea!! He could work on his magic and get different things like protection stones (which he'll be developing to more advanced levels) to be sold along with potions, maybe?

That would be awesome!! She'll have to be more political over the timeskip thanks to White Citadel stuff but she would still brew and do stuff to help, so having someone to manage things with her and have other things on offer would be A++ and she does adore Dorian, so c: We can maybe do a thread or a log sometime after the lockets go down where they talk about it and set up shop?

That'd be fabulous! Dorian will be travelling and doing tons of business things so I think it would be easy for him to add that to his to-do list as he works on establishing his theatres! He'll especially good for things she needs done in Parrais and the Coth, as those'll be his major bases of legit operation. A log for discussing and setting up sounds perfect!
