Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

That's Ruadan (Dorian's manservant), actually! Maelle is a new one, so that Dorian can avoid any obvious link between himself and the Redgate theatre, including its criminal activities. Mostly, to be honest, because he wants something the monarchs don't know is linked to him, to avoid being dependent on them.

The coffee codes might tip off the Charles II link. But he'd be glad to be in on that, if we can finagle their acquainting one another with the elements they keep a bit in the back pocket.

I couldn't remember, but if Maella mentions Dorian's previous request to Waver about wards and storage, he'll be able to put two and two together without making it obvious. Would that work?

:DDD That's perfect then. Waver's going to double encrypt with language variety too, so it should be rather useful. The quests are gonna take a bit to work through so I'll have to ping you when they're done.

That could work! It may take a bit of time working with Waver('s people) before Maelle is willing to trust Waver enough with the fact of her boss's ID, and then only after Dorian okays it, but I think we can get there.
