Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Character: Harry Potter

Current Location: Southern coast in a villa on the outskirts of a middling-sized village
Planned Travel: All over the map. (...except Glaschu.)
General overview of recent events: Harry has tried to keep himself out of the political limelight, but he's made it known that he's willing to develop, enchant, and build defenses for Unseelie and Unseelie allies. Starting with Mair and the Station, he's also willing to make repairs and be generally useful for any and all Drabwurld natives.
Recently, he was at the fall of Caer Scima and with Linn (his partner in crime/familiar/???) witnessed the battle between Ridere and Reul.
Recent open threads/posts: The Fall of Caer Scima and for those at Aly's place. In the very near future, there's going to be a big ol', open post that'll ICly cover the whole of the timeskip - for quest reasons, Harry is going to talk to a heap of NPCs and every IC Unseelie Shardbearer.

Who are your character's known associates/friends/enemies?: Waver Velvet, Rin, Saber, the Brucolac, Grell, (maybe?) Dragmire, Diarmuid, Alice, Hermione, Remus, Linn, Aeler, and more that I'm probably forgetting. Harry tries to make friends and be useful all over the map, although his Seelie CR is dwindling.
What notable events has my character been a part of?: Here is a sorely out of date quest and history roster.
What can other characters easily ICly learn about your character?: He's Unseelie allied, able to use magic, and almost always is with either a young girl or a crow. Young, but apparently at least somewhat useful.
What information is limited to specific CR?: Harry's gotten himself involved in a whole lot of trouble: Redgate, Reynard, the Midnight Court, sigils, etc. etc.
What information is my character willing to share/can be readily discovered if another works to uncover it?: Pretty much anything if they have the right IC connections.

• Harry is going to be sent on a quest to talk to every, living Unseelie, so he's going to take the majority of the year travelling about with Linn to do this.


• Along with general experimenting with shards, shardbearer magic, and other bad ideas, he's going to work with Linn to try and work to develop a means of thieving the shards gathered by the monarchs to complete the Sacred Gem apart from them. Yet another Great Idea!


• Go North to visit with the Aellyn. Imagine a Rocky-style training montage with less boxing and more bird-form shapeshifting, sacrifice, and generally getting an idea how magic works in the Drabwurld.


• Work out a system to find regular, willing meals for Linn.


• Learn to speak to snakes thanks to Tzilan.

considering luke's going to marry hermione, perhaps he and harry should finally meet if you're up for it? i'm not really sure how! it can be accidental and the connection be realised later (as i'm sure she's mentioned a harry to luke a few times) or we can rope rachel into it and bully her mercilessly.

Dat quest doe. Rin will just shake her head and remind him that if he says anything about her other than what she's asked him to say (all favorable things about how great she is), she does know at least ten ways to permanently keep him silent.

But as long as she learns about Howlers so that every invite is in Howler form for all of her CR, that would be great. Please. I need this more than I have ever needed anything.
