Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

she is, and she probably won't even require liquor.

i'm not sure how these guys can meet again (other than at one of the events on the timeskip calendar), but considering she's sort of climbing up the military ranks of the unseelie and is sort of building herself a reputation as a pretty damn good soldier, if you want to go a bit of a political route, she can offer him protection if he offers her things in return?

ever since we were joking about them on plurk, i've just wanted cr with them since they're both unapologetically manipulative characters!

Well I do have plans to hopefully plop him down with Archer and Buffy at one of the Spires, but I do think they could have fun playing off each other in the future. I don't know how involved he will be in timeskip stuff, since his entire attitude about the place is still hugely being determined right now.

That said, I don't know what he'll be able to offer her. Gold maybe? I really hope to be able to have him get some of the fabled Lannister wealth to kick around like he does in the books.

she'd totally take him up on any gold! she has the ability to mentally manipulate people into doing her bidding, so, if they really hit it off, maybe in the future she can set him up with someone who can maybe keep him out of his trouble/be his bronn 2.0 if that's a person you're ever looking for.

perhaps we can just play it by ear! it's a bit difficult, because i know i have no clear path with what i want to do with her, which isn't providing me with any concrete avenues to explore outside of what's offered on the timeline at the moment.

Man if he knew about that power, I don't think he'd trust any associates she 'hires' for him. Gold is a far more reliable method of employment than someone else's mind powers. (Basically it would take a very, very long time for him to trust Katherine to not just off him in the middle of the night.)

But yes, doing it by ear sounds good. I hope to have a normal locket post up before timeskip that should provide more foundation on what to do.
