Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Wan is going to be holing up in Azure every so often throughout the year. We could establish some basic CR with them both helping out over there and also possibly working together towards some more neutrally aligned goals? I don't have any specifics in mind atm, but even some basic handwaved association could be interesting.

Yes, this sound fine! Thrall only has domain over one element right now but it'll be great to get him some CR with an Avatar anyway. They can talk about meditation and spirit things and drink tea. It'll be great.

I believe Thrall was going to put up some stone walls and help fortify Azure that way. He is already stationed there pre-timeskip if you wanted to hit that up, but otherwise, he'll also be popping in during timeskip and it won't be easy to miss him.

I mean, seriously. He sticks out like a sore thumb.

I wouldn't mind doing some pre-timeskip stuff, too. But Wan's got a wanderlust to him and his intense interest in learning about the world before becoming more active in the war (regardless of his neutral leanings) so that he knows as much as he can about the situation. rushing in too fast has always been a weakness of his, but with what's at stake, he really can't afford to do that this time. He's going to be more cautious.

Thrall is pretty open about wanting to forge peace between the sides and will gladly share his own world's history and his involvement in it. His involvement with the neutral faction in the Drabwurld will be a little harder to get out of him, but he'll gladly pass a good word to Waver if he likes the guy. (which I am pretty sure he will.) More importantly, he's a strategist himself and he understands the need for caution, which is why he hasn't burned bridges with his court yet.

Wan's Timeskip Timeline is now mostly up-to-date with where I plan to have him be during the year and what he'll be getting into. Including what months he'll be back at Azure. I'll be tagging him into the Azure catch-all soon, too!

It looks like that puts him in Thrall's neighborhood around August, but I can definitely just have Thrall pop into Azure during one of Wan's many trips back to it. I'm pretty easygoing about this sort of thing.
