Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

So, unfortunately, Waver doesn't advertise that he knows anything about shard activation. This is a personal choice he's made for his own safety - he needs to be constantly underestimated, so that if he ever gets into a fight, he can use the element of surprise. (He's done this in game before and it very much saved lives.) Only Waver's closest CR knows he's even learning, so I'm not sure if there's any real work around.

Perfectly fair! I'll have Wan find another way to learn. :)

Maybe Waver can introduce him to coffee, instead, and Wan can be a tea snob about it.

I always feel bad saying no, but Waver's gotta control all the info flow about himself.

But yes, I am here for that! Mind, Waver's establishment does also have a bunch of tea varieties, so hopefully the snobbing won't be too harsh.

As long as the tea's hot, probably not. Though he might get snobby about the pot it's brewed in. Wan is picky about his teapots.

well we do make due with boiling the water in cast iron on the hearth because drabwurld kitchens (he misses the electric kettle ok)

Wan is so very disappointed and he hasn't even had the conversation ICly yet. I'll hit up the Barrel open post at some point. With it's location move, Wan will probably be there in the winter/early spring of next year OR during the lights festival, since he wants to go to that.

And either option would work brilliantly. Waver and co will be at the lights festival too.
