Timeskip CR Meme

While similar to the CR meme in some ways, the fields within the text area below are meant to facilitate planning and plotting so that by the time the CR meme rolls around everyone has a much clearer idea of what all has been happening and in what direction they are heading, especially as the timeskip looms large on the horizon.

Should you need it, you can always refer to the re-posted Timeskip Calendar for ideas! Characters have already been starting up businesses (coffee shops, playhouses, a P.I. office, even a business selling non-locket network devices!) so be sure to check it out!

If you intend to opt out of the timeskip, please PM the mod account with the dates/nature of your opt out!

As a note, please remember the following:

• There will be no new shardbearers, no monthly events (and perforce no boons). Monarch contact will be limited to include shardbearers highly ranked within their court.


• Fairy rings will be inoperable. Powers, abilities, and boons may be used to allow for fast-travel. Otherwise, characters must hoof it to where they wish to go.


• Lockets will not work. Characters would need traditional means to keep in touch, or need to fashion (or purchase) their own alternative means of magical communication. These alternative devices can be used on the network alongside lockets, and can be fashioned to interact with lockets.


• Border violence will be the norm. Small incursions and raids into enemy territory will be frequent. Unseelie in Seelie territory, and vice versa, will be hunted by patrols/town guards/etc. NPC guards may unexpectedly drop into threads where characters are in enemy territory.


• Boons all perform to their original specifications. None are depowered or vanished, though all would show the signs of age as appropriate for the passage of time.


• Influence and quests would continue to be given and rewarded as normal (one quest per player per ooc month), for our OOC sanity. PCs who are able to give quests are encouraged to have an expanded docket of them at the ready.

Sweet more money for him (though wtf HE'S going to do with it who knows, ~it's a mystery~.) I think this is a good plan, go go team swan murder.

Ahaha in that case I make no promises that he won't try to pet her or pick her up because cats. He likes cats a lot, may bring presents for cat-jima etcetc.. ...also wow well that I did not know, that is really, really cool. So overall it sounds like we have a lot of potential for doing things during the timeskip so o/

HORDE IT although yeah shijima's just like SHRUG about human money. or gold. whenever she gets it she is likely to kinda...well she doesn't like to keep it that much (the figurines are shiny so she's ok with keeping one or two but will fail to use them as actual currency, she will just line them up on her windowsill and stare at them) or bother with it so.

she is ok with being spoiled in cat form AS IT SHOULD BE. and yeah, she finally caved and went FINE, UNLOCK A FORM FOR ME for her boon last month! she uses something called Tenpenka which is a shapeshifting art - her human form is just shifted into, and she's technically able to reform into whatever if she ever cares enough but she got locked into the two forms. She thinks it is like SUPER SHAMEFUL because ugh birds are dumb

She will be so spoiled if/when he finds out she's actually literally capable of being a cat. Cats are superior creatures and all that jazz. Also that's REALLY cool, I kind of figured the human form was a shift but that's really neat. I should...go learn about her canon and stuff...also I won't lie he'd laugh about the irony of being able to be both bird and cat while being envious she can fly

THEY ARE. Which is not biased from the cat at all. And haha her canon is ridiculous...everyone is a ninja (she...has ninja training actually...) and it's actually not too long (72 chapters i thiiiiink it's 71 or 72 i always forget) manga-wise or anime-wise. she spends like the first half of the series as the hero's housecat being lazy.

She hasn't even brought it up here I think mostly because she's like. Blase about it...but she's very comfortable as a melee fighter and it's not hard to guess she has training. She would probably offer to teach him tricks so yes probably best he never finds out

okay that's legit tho shijima approves of his priorities. although she is the alpha cat at the farm (his cat seemed really easygoing so i doubt she'll have an issue keeping that position)

Mochi is literally the least useful cat when it comes to being anything but a cuddle-cat so at least Shijima wouldn't have to fight for the alpha status, you're correct. Just don't beat up his cat if he brings him to the chocobo ranch tyvm

...actually that could be the reason they team up in swan-killings. Hiro trying to get Mochi to cooperate, Mochi not having it, in comes Shijima because boredom.

Awesome! I am glad something like that came out of me babbling about Hiro's cat, haha. I need to actually get my timeskip post set up for actual logging and everything but I think I will probably hold-off on threading swan stuff until he actually gets Mochi approved and in-game (I'm setting it up so that he gets him as the boon post-harp event) but AFTER THAT let's do the thing

I love that he's theoretically slowly racking up orders from people to build things. We can't have her being bored and he has to prove to everybody he can totally use his big brain to figure out things!!

Considering Lumina literally wants things for the chocobos/farm/ranch thing that wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility...it also falls into my original timeskip plans of him just tinkering with stuff and making things during his downtime so for all we know he'll make self-dangling cat toys for her to bat at or something
